One of the most challenging things you’ll find when you are newly divorced and living alone is everything falls on you.

Most times the day to day grind is no issue. We go about
our day making decisions and getting things done.

Little frustrations here and there.

There are times when life comes crashing down around you.

Hard things are happening and those times are heavy.

All decisions, all questions, all answers,

All concerns fall on your shoulders.

You can barely come up for air.

There is no one to help hold you up during those times,
to let you rest for a moment.

You can’t let down, you must push through.

When you do reach the other side there is such a cathartic let down.

All the adrenalin that you have been holding in gets set free.

For me, tears come. I get tired. I sleep.

Most people have family and friends that can come along side of them and lift them up.

Some of us have lost our families.

Often when a divorce is new, friends choose sides.

You may find yourself more alone than you imagined.

So we do what must be done.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other until you reach the other side.

You can do hard things.

Rest when you can and know……
you’ll get through those tough times.

You Got This…
