I haven’t posted a blog since April. I got side tracked.
No excuses. Just a fact.
I let myself down.
So I begin again.
How hot is it where you live?
The summer heat is pretty rough right now on the west coast.
A practical tip for my ladies who are recently divorced living in a home alone.
You are now responsible for all your homes needs.
Things break, things wear down, things need repair.
All up to you.
I talk about walking your property weekly to keep an eye on what’s happening.
Is something not working right?
Does something need loving care?
I live in a desert area and I got to say it’s freaking hot here right now.
Because it’s been over 110 degrees for quite a while,
I walked my property and I noticed how dry all my plants were….
They are crying out for relief from the heat.
My lawn has dry patches which tells me the sprinklers are not spraying in the those areas and need to be adjusted.
Do my plants need more shade or do they just need more water?
Last year I lost 3 shrubs due to the heat and two plants due to ant infestation.
Ants can do a lot of damage.
Pay attention to the ants, they can kill a plant and they are nasty little guys.
I’ve stepped on my lawn in places and my foot was swarmed with ants.
They bite, it burns.
Be careful with those buggers.
I usually spray for ants and cockroaches myself.
Hiring an exterminator is also an option and less messy.
When you stay on top of things around your home you prevent the damage from getting bigger and more expensive.
Walk Your Property…
Staying on top of things can save you money and give you more time to enjoy your life.!
Lets do more of that…..
