Emotions are up and down and all around these days.
We are still facing uncertain times, scary times.
Our thoughts are racing and broadcasting all sorts of doom and gloom.
This broadcasting of bad news can become overwhelming.
The one thing that has helped me the most when I faced
very hard times was learning how to manage my thoughts.
It’s a powerful technique that is used to regulate those scary strong
thoughts and emotions that send us into panic and fear.
These thoughts drive your emotions,
Emotions drive your actions,
Your actions are what give you results.
It’s possible to do; to learn to recognize your thoughts.
You can reduce racing thoughts that lead to amped up emotions.
We spend a lot of time in anxiety.
Fretting over things that may happen.
We are in grief for a long time even before a hard event happens.
Wasting energy and feeling horrible.
Life can be hard and feeling scared and sad or lonely can make sense.
But if we step back and become the observer of our thoughts.
We can stop the spin.
Stopping the spin begins with stepping back and noticing your thoughts.
Like a closed caption tape that runs at the bottom of your tv screen.
Stepping back and watching our thoughts gives us that space to be able to make a different
choice rather than having those thoughts set off automatic panic experiences.
It’s very worthwhile for more peace of mind to learn how to become mindful of what you think.
Mindfulness will reduce the amount of time you spend in chaos and anxiety.
It takes vigilance and practice to learn how to become aware of what you are thinking.
I personally feel that it is so worth it.
